On January 31, the "Hayrate" 2024 Awards Ceremony took place, during which the most attractive employers in Armenia were awarded, according to a comprehensive survey conducted among students.
This is the fourth year that the initiative has been implemented through the joint efforts of Grant Thornton Armenia and the Armenian HR Association, aiming to emphasize the attractiveness of employers among young people entering the labor market and to reveal how targeted the measures taken by employers to increase their brand awareness among students are.
About 2,200 students from leading Armenian universities participated in the survey, freely expressing their opinions and indicating the most attractive employers in 2024, regardless of their field of activity.
"Such initiatives are important both from the perspective of reflecting students' ideas and expressing their opinions, and for employers to develop a more flexible, encouraging, and inclusive approach towards youth as the future representatives of Armenia's labor market," says Grant Thornton Armenia in a statement.
Students mentioned more than 500 organizations as attractive employers, from which the 10 that received the most votes in the survey were selected and announced during the awards ceremony.
Special emphasis was placed on and awards were given to the organizations that received the most votes in the "attractive employer" and "most attractive employer" categories.
Thus, among the organizations in the first places are: Ameriabank, Digitain, Pixart, Central Bank, State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia, ACBA Bank, Ardshinbank, Synopsis, Soft Construct, Service Titan.
“Attracting and retaining young talent is a strategic priority for employers. The results obtained within the framework of “hayrate” allow organizations to understand what is really important for students when choosing a future workplace. As an employer, we see that in addition to competitive remuneration, students pay great attention to career growth opportunities, team culture and the ability to make an impact. This initiative plays a key role in strengthening the student-employer connection, helping companies improve their approaches and create more attractive workplaces,” said Lilit Gevorgyan, Head of Human Resources Management Consulting Services at Grant Thornton Armenia.
"Today, the issue of employer branding is one of the topics that has become a subject of wide discussion in the business world. Competently developed branding plays an important role in attracting the necessary young talents to the company, as well as in having a high reputation in the labor market. It is very important that Armenian employers continuously develop and work on their reputation. "Arrate" is an important initiative both in terms of reflecting the ideas and expressing opinions of students, and in terms of forming a more flexible, encouraging and inclusive approach of employers towards youth, as tomorrow's representatives of the Armenian labor market," noted Arpi Karapetyan, President of the Armenian HR Association.
The event was attended by about 200 participants, including official representatives from the RA Ministries of Education, Science and Technology and the RA Ministry of Labor, HR specialists from employers in various sectors, heads of about 20 Armenian universities and directors of career centers, as well as students.
The participants highly appreciated the need for such an initiative, noting that thanks to "Armenrate", Armenian employers have the opportunity to evaluate both the effectiveness of the steps they have taken and to discover new opportunities for attracting young talents.
It is noted that the need to maintain student-employer communication was reaffirmed and the importance of "Armenrate" was emphasized as an effective means of revealing that communication.
